If you are
looking for a Permanent Makeup school to attend but not sure how to find
the best one for you?
Here is information you should know before attending.
Ask these questions when looking for a school.
1.
If
a school asks for a $500.00 non-refundable deposit.
(That
means they don’t care if you don’t show up, they have your money)
We never charge for the class until you have done your first
procedure.
We want to make sure you are happy with our training.
2.
A good school should have plenty of models.
(If
they have done a lot of people and the training is good there should be
models wanting to get into their salon.) We have 300 models waiting to get
in at all times.
3.
Make sure the school has models and not artificial material for you to do
work on. (Pigskin,
mannequins, fruit etc are the common items the schools use).
4.
If a school
tells you they can GUARANTEE a “STATE LICENSE” at a later date by you
joining one of the 7 permanent makeup societies.
If they offer a membership into such a society, have them put this
Guarantee in writing. You
will be able to sue them for the price of the training at a later date if
it is not true. No one can
provide this Guarantee; it is up to the states.
(They
often state two or three services in a brow, liner, and lip.
They mean you will “all” share a model on two different
procedures each. It is not
the same as having your own model 3 different procedures.
Make sure you clarify this with your school.
6.
When
you share models in a group class of 4, you get attention only ¼ of the
time.
(Example:
40 hour class divided by 4 students = 10 hours of individual time.
½ of 10 hours is spent in Theory and the other ½ in doing the
work =
5 hours hands on experience and 5 hours of theory).
We
make sure you have a full 20 hours of hands on “One on One” training
in our class.
(One model, one
student, one instructor for every procedure). Your
choice 10 hours of individual instruction at their school for a whole week
or 20 hours of individual instruction at our school and only 2 days away
from home.
7.
Make sure the school provides a written class outline so you
know
exactly what you are getting before you spend your money.
8.
They should provide testimonials of recent students.
We hate providing
this kind of information. But, we get phone calls from other schools
disappointed students. Stating, how disappointed they were in the school
they attended and often the school charged a few thousand dollars.
In the past I felt bad for people who spent their money and got
very little education. I have often let them sit in on our classes free.
I have to stop letting people sit in our classes for free, for
there is just to many of them. There
are to many schools not doing a good job. That is why I am posting this
notice, so you can ask the correct questions and attend a good school.
Disappointed
students would not have these problems if they had known what questions to
ask before attending a school.

Classes are very
individualized and limited to one student, one educator and one model at a time. The
emphasis is on a strong basic understanding of permanent makeup and the technique used for
Permanent Makeup manual application. We also cover the use of rotary and

Each student learns at a
different pace. Training is usually about two days, but we will not release a student
until we feel that they are comfortable with the
Permanent Makeup technique and competent to
perform professionally. You will be doing complete procedures on live models.
Most schools you just observe or work on a model for only a few minutes. You will receive
hands-on training. We guarantee you'll complete 6 full procedures in our two day training

We know it is hard to find
time to learn a new career. We schedule class time to suit your busy peoples
schedule. Our classes are every Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Salon and business
owners find this is the best time to be away from their busy shops. We have a lot of
people fly in Friday night and fly out Sunday night, or fly in Saturday night and fly out

What
is "HOME" training?
It is for those
individuals who learn at their own pace. They are often skilled
seamstress, nail techs, etc. These people are people who are use to
working with their hands and are very good at it. Permanent makeup
is not a difficult craft to learn. If it were difficult to learn you would
not be able to learn it in a 40 hour class, 135 hour class, or 250 hour
class, but maybe 6 months to a year, working with someone. There are
3 states that require 6 months of training and the technicians they
produce are no better at their craft than those who study less time.
Our home study course is far superior to classes that have a lot of
"classroom time" . In a classroom the instructor
gives the information and if you retain that information from the one time
you hear it, great! Studies show most people only listen for 20
minutes at a time. The home video training allows you to hear the
information over and over and over again until you retain the
information. If you do forget information just play the video
again. In a class room setting you do not get to hear a second time.
Group
classes of more than one student means the instructor's time is divided by
the number of students per each hour. Example: 4 students, 1
instructor you get 15 minutes of instruction in every hour. The
other 3 students get the rest of the instructors time. SUMMARY:
A 40 hour course with 4 students means you get 10 hours of personal
training and the rest of the time you are working on your own. Why
not watch the video and work on your own until you understand how to manually
implant product at your own pace. There are 3 basic things you need
to know about implanting permanent makeup.
1. How to rock the needle
2. The importance of stretching the skin.
3. The importance of staying close to the skin.
These 3 items are the most important part of implanting pigments.
And if you understand these 3 things you can do permanent makeup.
The quality of permanent makeup has to do with style and your ability to
create. No two permanent makeup artists will create the same
permanent makeup procedures. It is just like no two women wear their
brow pencil the same way. It is individual taste and so is permanent
makeup. What you want to learn is how to implant product so
that you do not have to do touch-ups. We can teach you that through
video training.
Please
note: nothing is better than having someone sit beside you and instruct
your every move as you learn. We know this is just not possible for
some people because they have demanding family life, businesses, afraid of
travel, can't afford to financially travel, and just don't want to be away
form home. You should not let this stop you from learning to be a
permanent makeup artist. We have lots of successful students who
have never attended class. We know this because they buy product
form us and send us pictures of their procedures often. Many of the
old time permanent makeup artist are still around and have busy salons and
belong to no societies, and have gone to no schools. They are the founding
fathers of the permanent makeup business and often get no respect. But
they are successful. They are people who learned on their own,
because prior to 1990 there were no schools. the owner of our
company was one of those people and have since attended other schools and
have certificates. They did not make us better at our craft
and often we found were lacking in knowledge from not doing permanent
makeup for a long period of time before teaching others. We
were good permanent makeup artists before any form of classes and we
remain good permanent makeup artist today. Do not let anyone else discourage
you from reaching your goals.
Video schooling allows
you the freedom to train at you own speed and on your own time. If traveling to a
destination for school is not a available to you, this is a great alternative. Each video
demonstrates the full procedure from beginning to the finished product. Studying

You should view these videos
often until you understand the material and that is the nice thing about
videos. Please remember the 3 most important things are: motion of
the needle, stretching of the skin, and staying close to the skin while
doing work.
If you feel you cannot do this on
your own you can call and take a one on one class because this is the beginning
of our one on one class. Most people can find they can do
this. And will need to order product to do

suggest the student kit and it only costs $199.00. The kit will
allow you to do 12 procedures if you charge $30.00 for your products while
you are learning on others, you will have recovered all the money you
spent.
A good source of models is women's
shelters, alopecia society, and cancer society. These women often
could use permanent makeup.
You will need to take photos of
before and after to document your work. Please use a digital camera
up close so we can see your progression.
Once you have mastered permanent
makeup request the written test (the test is not to see how smart
you are but that you have a good knowledge about permanent makeup and we
at EZ permanent makeup will help you with the answers)
We need 3 statements
from your models saying you were good and very clean.
